COMELEC makes accomplishment of voter reg forms much easier with the iRehistro Project

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) today formally launched the iRehistro Project, which provides an on-line accomplishment of application for voters' registration and transfer of voters' registration record.

COMELEC Commissioner Al A. Parreño led the launch of the iRehistro Project at this morning's flag raising ceremony at the poll body's main office.

He said, the project shall be rolled out starting today in all COMELEC Offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) and at the Philippine Embassy in Madrid, Spain starting November 3, 2014, to cover Filipino voters in the said Post.

According to Parreño, the iRehistro Project will not only provide voter applicants the flexibility to schedule their time to register, it will also minimize the queuing at COMELEC offices and lessen poll personnel's encoding workload.

"We aim to accomplish 136,589 application forms through the iRehistro online facility," said Comm. Parreño.

To accomplish forms using iRehistro, voter applicants need only visit www.iRehistro.com or www.comelec.gov.ph to fill-out and print 3 copies of the specified form in legal sized bond paper. Applicants would then have to personally visit the local COMELEC Office in the NCR and at the Philippine Embassy in Madrid, Spain to present the accomplished form and any valid identification (ID) card to the Election Officer of his Representative. ###
