The Commission on Elections set the special registration of voters in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur from October 1, 2018 to October 15, 2018.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 10426 dated September 27, 2018, applications for registration, transfer/transfer with reactivation, reactivation, change/correction of entries and inclusion/ reinstatement of records in the list of voters shall be personally filed at the Office of the Election Officer (OEO) from 8:00 A.M. to 5 P.M.
In conducting the special voter registration, the COMELEC seeks to enfranchise qualified voters in the upcoming plebiscite for the ratification of RA 11054 entitled "Organic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao" on January 21, 2019, as well as the May 13, 2019 National and Local Elections (NLE).
Voters who are already registered as of the May 9, 2016 NLE and those who registered last November 7, 2016 to April 29, 2017 need not register anew.
The system of continuing registration, which resumed in July 2, 2018 and will run until September 29, 2018, was conducted nationwide with the exception of Marawi City due to the prevailing conditions in the area. ###
