The Commission on Elections today announced that there will be no extension of the voter registration period, which will end tomorrow, September 29, 2018.
The system of continuing registration of voters for purposes of the May 13, 2019 National and Local Elections (NLE) resumed on July 2, 2018 as per Resolution No. 10392 dated June 19, 2018.
"We call on the public to exercise patience as long queues are to be expected in the last few days of registration. However, the COMELEC assures members of the vulnerable sectors such as Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and heavily pregnant women that priority lanes will be provided for them," Spokesperson James Jimenez said.
Registrants may proceed to the Office of the Election Officer (OEO) in their respective city, municipality or district, or any satellite registration site in their area, from 8:00 A.M. to 5 P.M. The schedules of satellite registration activities nationwide are posted on the official Facebook page of the COMELEC.
Applications for registration, transfer/transfer with reactivation, reactivation, change/ correction of entries/and inclusion/reinstatement of records in the list of voters will be received. ###
