IN THE MATTER OF REQUESTING HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT BENIGNO SIMEON C. AQUINO III TO DECLARE MAY 08, 2015 AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF PUERTO PRINCESA, PALAWAN, IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONDUCT OF THE MAY 08, 2015 RECALL ELECTIONS FOR MAYOR IN THE CITY OF PUERTO PRINCESA, PALAWAN, PURSUANT TO COMELEC RESOLUTION NO. 15-0284 DATED 7 APRIL 2015
WHEREAS, the Commission on Elections en banc promulgated on 7 April 2015 Resolution No. 15-0284, setting the date for the Recall Elections for Mayor in the City of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, on May 08, 2015;
WHEREAS, there is a need to declare May 08, 2015 as a special non-working holiday to afford the registered voters of the City of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, to participate fully in the recall elections;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Commission on Elections, by virtue of the powers vested in it by the Constitution, the Omnibus Election Code and other election laws, RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES to request His Excellency President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III to declare May 08, 2015 as a special non-working holiday in the City of Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
The Executive Director is hereby directed to furnish His Excellency, Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III, President of the Republic of the Philippines, through the Honorable Executive Secretary, Malacañang Palace, a copy of this Resolution.
