IN THE MATTER OF THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) BETWEEN THE COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS AND THE ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES FOR PURPOSES OF THE MAY 8, 2015 PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, PALAWAN RECALL ELECTIONS
To ensure the holding of a free, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible recall elections in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; and the performance of functions and duties of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) deployed for said electoral exercise, the Commission RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, as follows:
- to approve the attached four (4) - page Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by and between the COMELEC represented by Commissioner Arthur D. Lim, and the AFP represented by Vice Admiral Alexander S. Lopez;
- to authorize Commissioner Arthur D. Lim to sign the MOA in behalf of this Commission; and
- to allocate the amount of Two Hundred Seventy Six Thousand Pesos (Php276,000.00) for the logistical needs of the AFP in the implementation of their functions in connection with the conduct of the Puerto Princesa City, Palawan Recall Elections, as embodied in the MOA, and may be issued upon completion of required documents, subject to existing COA rules and regulations.
Let the Deputy Executive Director for Operations and the Finance Services Department implement this Resolution.
