Resolution No. 9353

WHEREAS, in the interest of free, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible conduct of the March 03, 2012 plebiscite to ratify the division of Barangay Canumay, Valenzuela City, and the creation of two (2) new barangays to be known as Barangay Canumay West and Barangay Canumay East, pursuant to Ordinance No. 37, series of 2011 , approved on November 21, 2011, of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Valenzuela City, the Commission on Elections finds it necessary to deputize the Philippine National Police (PNP), and other law enforcement agencies and instrumentalities;

WHEREAS, under Section 2 (4) (C), Article IX, of the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, such deputation requires the concurrence of the President of the Republic of the Philippines;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Commission on Elections RESOLVED to request, as it hereby RESOLVES to request, the concurrence of the President of the Republic of the Philippines in the Deputation of the Philippine National Police (PNP), other law enforcement agencies, in connection with the conduct of the abovementioned plebiscite.

The Executive Director is hereby directed to furnish His Excellency, the President of the Republic of the Philippines, through the Honorable Executive Secretary, Malacañang Palace, Manila, a copy of this Resolution.
