IN THE MATTER OF THE LETTER OF CHIEF ELECTION COMMISSIONER KM NURUL HUDA OF BANGLADESH EXPRESSING HIS STRONG SUPPORT AND COOPERATION TO CHAIRMAN J. ANDRES D. BAUTISTA AS THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE ASSOCIATION OF ASIAN ELECTION AUTHORITIES (AAEA)
This pertains to the Memorandum dated June 2, 2017 of Mr. Jess Paul M. Pasibe, Executive Assistant, Office of the Chairman, relative to the letter of Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda of Bangladesh expressing his strong support and cooperation to Chairman J. Andres D. Bautista as the Chairperson of the Association of Asian Election Authorities (AAEA).
The Memorandum of Mr. Pasibe reads:
"Please find enclosed the 31 May 2017 letter of Third Secretary Md Arafat Rahman of the Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, forwarding to this office the 02 May 2017 letter of Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda of Bangladesh, which was received by this office on 01 June 2017. Chief Election Commissioner Huda is expressing his strong suppor and cooperation to Chairman J. Andres D. Bautista as the Chairperson of the Association of Asian Election Authorities (AAEA), and also conveying his gratitude to the hospitality and fruitful experiences on election management that were shared during the General Assembly of the AAEA hosted by this Commission.

The letter of Chief Election Commissioner KM Nural Huda addressed to Chairman J. Andres Bautista states:
"Thank you very much for your letter on our meeting on the occasion of General Assembly of the Association of Asian Election Authorities. Bangladesh delegate has immensely benefitted from it by sharing experiences on election management of a number of Asian countries.
We have enjoyed every minute of your warm hospitality and entertainment. The cultural event, in particular, is still remained impressed in our memory. Certainly, we shall try to make way to visit your beautiful country for enjoying rich culture and scenic locations.
The visit to your voter enrolment outlets has helped us learn about the process and way of seeking opinion/advice the local political offices on new voter list. Enrolment of expatriate citizens and thus making them possible for casting vote was also an area of learning of this delegate. We have a plan to introduce both in our election system. We may, subject to your kind approval, get into your good office for sharing knowledge about how we can adopt the procedure in the context of Bangladesh.
We like to register Excellency, our strong support and cooperation with your new office of the Chairperson of AAEA. We believe the AAEA would get new dimension and momentum under your able leadership and would move forward on the basis of mutual benefit."
The Commission RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to note the Letter of Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda of Bangladesh.
Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the relevant offices/department/committee.
