Resolution No. 8926

WHEREAS, Sixty (60) Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) and its accessories, including transmission equipment, are now at the Ynares Gym in Antipolo City awaiting guidelines for disposition in view of the clamor that the machines be examined;

WHEREAS, the Senate of the Republic of the Philippines requested that these machines be transferred to the custody of the senate.

NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the powers vested in it by the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, the Omnibus Election Code, Republic Act No. 9369, and other election laws, the Commission on Elections RESOLVED as it hereby RESOLVES to authorize the transfer of the sixty (60) PCOS machine and its accessories, including the transmission equipment, from the Ynares Gym in Antipolo City, Rizal, to the Senate of the Republic of the Philippines.

RESOLVED, further, to direct:

1. The Election Officer of Antipolo City, to implement this Resolution with dispatch;
2. The Provincial Election Supervisor of Rizal province and the Regional Election Director of Region IV to supervise the implementation of this Resolution; and
3. The Provincial Director of Rizal province to provide security for the transfer until the machines are turned over to the Senate.
