IN THE MATTER OF CREATING A MONITORING AND COORDINATION COMMITTEE, AND ASSIGNING COMMISSIONERS TO SUPERVISE THE VARIOUS ELECTION WORKING COMMITTEES IN CONNECTION WITH THE MAY 10, 2010 NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, it is the constitutional duty of the Commission on Elections to ensure the holding of a free, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible elections;
WHEREAS, in order to carry out this mandate, the Commission on Elections deems it necessary to create and constitute committees to undertake the pre-election, election, and post-election activities in connection with the May 10, 2010 National and Local Elections;
NOW THEREFORE, the Commission on Elections by the power vested in it by the Constitution and other election laws RESOLVES to create a Monitoring and Coordination Committee in connection with the May 10, 2010 National and Local Elections to be headed by Chairman Jose A. R. Melo with the following Election Working Committees to be supervised by a Commissioner:

RESOLVED, further, that the Committee Chairman may appoint a Vice-Chairman of the Committee who shall be primarily responsible for its operations.
