To ensure the safety of every voter and election worker throughout the country on election day.
The Commission on Elections, represented by Chairman Andres D. Bautista, and the Department of Health, represented by Secretary Janette P. Loreto-Garin, will be signing a Memorandum of Agreement on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10:30AM, at the ground floor of the Palacio Del Gobernador, forming a partnership between the two organizations.
The partnership aims to enhance the voting experience of every voter, election worker, Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) personnel and volunteer by providing free basic first aid assistance, essential medicines, and access to emergency medical help on the day of elections.
Free hospitalization will also be provided to election workers and PPRCV personnel and volunteers taken in or sustaining injury in the line of duty.
A press conference will follow after the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement, to be participated in by COMELEC Chairman Bautista.
